Patricia F. Hughey

Patricia Faye Hughey, 77, of Jonesboro, passed away at her home on August 6, 2024. She was born in Michigan on November 3, 1946, to the late Norma Faye Freeman, whom she was preceded in death.

Patricia lived in Arkansas for 65 years after moving from Michigan when she was 12. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she often volunteered her time to help. Patricia loved to stay busy outside. Her favorite thing to do was tend to her garden. Her family fondly remembers all the cooking she would do. Patricia could cook everything, but she had an exceptionally delicious recipe for banana pudding. If she wasn't cooking or gardening, she was searching for beautiful antiques. Patrcia had an extensive collection of antiques she acquired over the years. When she was younger, she owned an antique store. Most importantly, Patricia loved being with her family.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 51 years, John Hughey; daughters Hannah Hughey (Chase) and Abigail Hughey, both of Jonesboro; sister Jenny Mitchell (Steve) of Jonesboro; and grandchildren Presley Carter, Caleb Brown, and Joshua Brown.

The graveside service to honor Patricia's life will be held at 10:00 am on August 8, 2024, at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
