Imogene Rawls

Imogene Rawls, 97, of Bay, passed away on April 1, 2024, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 5, 1926, to the late William Jess and Ruby O. Davis in Broseley, Missouri.

Imogene worked for Singer Manufacturing in Trumann as an inspector until her retirement. After retirement, “Im” enjoyed working with her husband Junior as they built and sold crafts. She enjoyed being with “Jun” at the craft fairs, and they made new friends at each event. Imogene’s greatest passion was her family. She loved her family with all her heart. She was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Her love and dedication could be clearly seen in how she both sacrificed and protected each one of them. She will be missed beyond words, and she left her mark on each one of them. She will never be forgotten.

Imogene was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Willie Marshall "Junior" Rawls, two brothers, and one sister.

Imogene is survived by her son, Larry Rawls (Diana), of Bay, Arkansas. She also leaves behind two grandchildren, Amy Burton (Chris) of West Monroe, Louisiana, and William Rawls of Bay, Arkansas. Her memory will be cherished by her five great-grandchildren: Taylor Grace, Jake, Dakota (Sarah), Laura (Kevin), and Laci, as well as her four great-great-grandchildren: Brynlee, Ira, Julian, and Henry.

There will be a visitation on Friday, April 5, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM until the beginning of the service at 10:30 AM. Brother Rick Jensen will officiate the service with the interment following at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Dakota Burton, Jake Burton, Mat Erby, Mike Rose, Mike Erby, and Jack Knight. Those to serve as honorary pallbearers will be Chris Burton, David Erby, and Butch Yeager.
